The perfect illusion

When parents look at their child's face, they see their reflection. This adds to the feeling of belongingness, 'the child is mine'. I wonder, would we get the same feeling if the physical resemblance is missing?

However, if it's an illusion to think that the child is yours and not mere a responsibility from the nature, a baby's face is as perfect as it can get.
