Technical insight

The whole idea was to show contradictions, as naturally as possible.

Applying lipstick, next to a laptop, while sitting near a lamp, wearing rudraksh and beads along with modern clothing!

There are 3 light sources of different colors. White light from mobile falling on the face, bluish light from laptop falling on face and body in the opposite direction and yellow light from lamp warming up the background, laptop and highlights of hair and body. The presence of different light sources in different directions causes an interesting highlight-shadow combination on the face.

Painting starts with a plan, followed by application of hues in the second layer. Since it was a live painting, hues were very interesting. After applying accurate hues in the third layer, I started smudging and improving the detailing of the painting. Fourth layer involved corrections where values, hues and proportions were checked.
